Introduction

Human trafficking remains one of the most pressing global human rights challenges, deeply rooted in gender inequality, economic vulnerability, migration dynamics, and social exclusion. Women and girls are disproportionately affected by trafficking for sexual exploitation, forced labor, domestic servitude, and online exploitation, while men and boys often face labor trafficking in sectors such as agriculture, mining, and construction. Gender and Trafficking Training Course integrates gender-responsive approaches, survivor-centered frameworks, intersectionality, and human rights-based strategies to better understand and combat trafficking in persons.

In today’s rapidly evolving landscape characterized by digital recruitment, transnational crime networks, conflict-induced displacement, and climate-related migration addressing trafficking requires multi-sectoral collaboration, policy innovation, and data-driven interventions. This training equips participants with practical tools, legal frameworks, prevention strategies, and protection mechanisms to effectively respond to trafficking while promoting gender equality, social justice, and sustainable development.
