Introduction
Malaria remains one of the world’s most persistent public health challenges, significantly affecting disease burden, community health outcomes, and national development. Malaria Prevention and Control Strategies training course equips participants with up-to-date, evidence-based approaches to malaria surveillance, vector control, diagnostics, case management, data-driven decision-making, and community engagement. Emphasis is placed on emerging technologies, integrated vector management (IVM), health system strengthening, and climate-sensitive interventions aligned with global malaria elimination frameworks such as WHO GPW13 and the Global Technical Strategy (GTS) 2030.
This highly practical training combines data analytics, GIS mapping, digital health tools, community-based interventions, and cross-sectoral malaria control innovations. Participants will gain advanced competencies in risk assessment, epidemic preparedness, insecticide resistance monitoring, and program evaluation. Through real-world case studies from Africa and Asia, learners will analyze successful malaria elimination models, strengthen operational capacity, and design scalable, sustainable malaria prevention strategies for high-risk populations.

Course Objectives
Understand key epidemiological concepts in malaria transmission and burden analysis.
Apply WHO-recommended malaria surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation guidelines.

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with a globally- recognized certificate.
