Malaria Control Programs Training Course
Introduction
Malaria remains one of the most persistent and life-threatening vector-borne diseases, especially in tropical and subtropical regions. Despite global progress, it continues to burden health systems through high morbidity, mortality, and economic losses. Malaria Control Programs Training Course is designed to strengthen technical and operational capacity in malaria prevention, elimination strategies, surveillance systems, and integrated vector management using evidence-based and data-driven approaches. It equips participants with modern tools aligned with WHO malaria guidelines, digital health surveillance, and climate-sensitive disease control frameworks.
The course emphasizes practical implementation of larval source management, insecticide-treated net (ITN) distribution, indoor residual spraying (IRS), rapid diagnostic testing (RDT), and antimalarial drug policy compliance. Through a combination of field case studies, real-time data analytics, and program design exercises, learners will gain the skills required to design and manage effective malaria elimination and control programs in both rural and urban settings.

Course Objectives
Strengthen understanding of malaria epidemiology and transmission dynamics
Apply WHO-aligned malaria control strategies
Design effective vector control interventions (IRS, ITNs, LLINs)
Improve malaria surveillance and data reporting systems
Implement rapid diagnostic testing (RDT) and case management protocols
Enhance drug resistance monitoring and antimalarial stewardship
Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with a globally- recognized certificate.
