Introduction

Health systems across Africa are undergoing rapid transformation driven by emerging public health challenges, demographic shifts, climate-sensitive diseases, pandemics, and increasing demand for Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Strengthening these systems requires a multidimensional approach that integrates governance, financing, workforce capacity, supply chain resilience, digital health innovation, and community engagement. Health Systems Strengthening in Africa Training Course is designed to equip participants with cutting-edge knowledge and practical tools to build resilient, equitable, and sustainable health systems in Africa aligned with global frameworks such as the WHO Health System Building Blocks and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3).

The course emphasizes real-world application through case studies from African health systems, focusing on innovation, policy reform, and system-wide integration.
